Our firm has an opening for a top-notch individual to fill the role of Industrial Coatings Specialist. The region covers Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. This company has large market share, outstanding proprietary features in their products, a very established account base in the area, and offers an outstanding professional culture. The Industrial Coatings Specialist manages the profitable growth of the company’s extensive floor coatings line and services associated with it. The role of the ICS is to sell the industry's top floor coatings/systems to existing and new business in the territory to various markets including hospitals, schools, government, manufacturing, shopping malls, airports, etc. Your primary focus will be on existing business throughout the territory and leads will be provided, however you should be confident seeking out and cold calling on new business. You will also work closely with multiple established contractors and rep groups. Up to 30% travel will be required.

Maintaining knowledge of all products/services is a must. The successful candidate will:
  • thrive on building and maintaining strong business relationships with all customers, general contractors, architects, etc.
  • have a hunter and a farmer mentality
  • be comfortable cold calling and asking for business, but also be able to build relationships
  • be a strategic thinker who will utilize all the tools made available
  • be self-motivated with a solid work ethic

You will be responsible for developing and executing an annual plan that includes reviewing strengths and weaknesses within the territory to result in new account growth, finding effective ways to reach the end-user, building rapport with key customers within organizations, following sales process through prospecting, information gathering on needs of the customer, presenting the customer with the appropriate solution, closing, and implementation.

Compensation:
Base will be $70K + uncapped commissions --> $100K/yr at plan potential with serious possibility to go above that! $120K potential second year. Benefits offered include:

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years successful experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience handling bid work, specking projects, and calling on architects, contractors, and end users is ideal
  • Ability to maintain strong business relationships with all customers
  • Solid communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
